Stand

Stand were a four-piece rock band from Dublin whose melodic, guitar-driven sound carried them from Ireland to an extended chapter in New York. After building a following at home, the band reached the Irish Top 10 in 1999 with “Questions,” then took their music to the United States, touring extensively and using New York as a base for much of the following decade.

Across five albums — Correspondent, Beautiful Grey, Transmissions, Travel Light, and 100,000 Ways to Harvest Hope — Stand developed a catalog shaped by determined songwriting, close musicianship, and years on the road. The band came to an end in 2010, and its members later began a new creative chapter together as Empire Circus.
