On her new single “Clouds” Julia Minkin (Kid Francescoli) captures that feeling of staring out into the horizon and tracing figures in the sky. “The lyrics are about depression, desensitization, compassion fatigue, mother love, true beautiful clouds at sunset, among other clouds. Andrew referred to Kavinsky’s 'Nightcall' and Kate Bush’s 'Wuthering Heights' during the production phase. We wanted a juxtaposition that was nostalgic, cinematic, feminine, and powerful.” The song builds slowly, like pieces of a puzzle coming together to form a skyline.
